MEET PATRICK MCLAUGHLIN
Husband. Father. Businessman. Public Servant.
Patrick McLaughlin is first and foremost a husband, father, and proud member of the Queen Anne’s County community. He and his family have called this area home for nearly 30 years, where they have built their lives around faith, hard work, and service.
As a local businessman and longtime public servant, Patrick understands the challenges families and small businesses face. He brings that real-world experience to every decision he makes as Commissioner.
Rooted in Family and Community
Patrick’s values were shaped by his family, his faith, and his commitment to serving others. Together, Patrick and his wife have been blessed to grow their family through adoption, welcoming three children into their home, an experience that has been one of the greatest joys and blessings of their lives.
He believes strong families build strong communities, and that government should support, not replace, personal responsibility and local traditions. Whether attending school events, supporting local charities, or spending time with family, Patrick remains grounded in the values that matter most.

A Record of Leadership
Before serving as Commissioner, Patrick built his career as a successful local businessman, learning firsthand what it takes to create jobs, manage budgets, and meet payroll.
He owned and operated a medical distribution company and most recently owned a local insurance agency, gaining years of experience in financial oversight, operations, and long-term planning. Throughout his career, he focused on serving customers, supporting employees, and running organizations with integrity and accountability.
That real-world experience continues to guide his work in county government, where he prioritizes responsible spending, smart growth, and practical solutions that protect taxpayers and strengthen our community.

My goal has always been simple: leave this community better for our children and grandchildren.
